About Dr. Jorgen Hellman
Dr. Hellman is a graduate of the University of Newcastle, completing his medical degree in 1993. He has been working in orthopaedics since 1998, including time training in the USA and the UK.
Dr. Hellman commenced private practice as an Orthopaedic Surgeon in 2005 after completing a Fellowship in revision hip and knee arthroplasty in Surrey, England.
Dr. Hellman is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and Fellow of the Australian Orthopaedic Association.
Dr. Hellman has a special interest in joint replacement of the hip and knee, as well as arthroscopic surgery of the knee. He is an expert in the technique of Kinematic Alignment in knee replacement surgery and is one of Australia's most experienced in using Kinematic alignment with the MAKO Robotic system.
Both insured and uninsured patients are consulted in his private practice, with surgery being completed at Lingard Private Hospital and John Hunter Hospital/Royal Newcastle Centre.
