Dr. Jorgen Hellman is an Australian trained Orthopaedic Surgeon, having commenced practice in Newcastle in 2005.  Dr. Hellman's main focus is achieving best outcomes in hip and knee replacement surgery, by utilising the latest technological advances and modern techniques.

He is a pioneer in robotic knee replacement surgery, being one of Australia's most experienced MAKO total and partial knee replacement surgeons.

Dr. Hellman is also a leader in the technique of Kinematic Total Knee Replacement surgery, which has proven to provide better knee scores and patient satisfaction.  Customising both knee and hip replacement to each patient allows Dr. Hellman's patients to return to function and better quality of life.

Dr. Hellman does over 300 joint replacements per year in both private and public hospitals.  The Australian Joint Replacement Registry states that high volume joint replacement surgeons have lower failure rates than low volume surgeons.
